Here's the riddle. I really need to know the answer before tomorrow (Oct. 18). Here it is: I am eight letters long: '12345678'. (Each number represents a letter in the word.) My 1234 is an atmospheric condition. My 34567 supports a plant. My 4567 is to appropriate. My 45 is a friendly thank-you. My 678 is a name. Anyone got any ideas about what the word could be?

My guess is that it is a compound word because the first 4 letters are a word on their own. Wow this is really hard!? Give me a minute to think...oh never mind I think the person above me got it!

i believe that the word is "mistakes"
1234=mist
34567=stake
4567=take
45=ta
678=ken
i am not sure if its correct but it is worth a try. most of the words fit.it took me like 45 minutes to figure this out.
