It's a form of blackmail being practiced by an isolated group of paranoid fanatics who are dangerous simply because they will not stop until the blackmail attempts succeed in destroying themselves as well as their targets.

It's the Rodney Dangerfield reason for testing nukes. They just want respect. "Proving" that you have a nuke while the U.S. is totally incapable of going to war with you puts you in a position of relative strength. They are just showing as much strength as possible at the moment that we appear weak so that when we finally do give them something to shut up and go away, they'll extract more than they would have otherwise.

I think so because it sure as heck is annoying me!!! but we can't go to war with the koreans because we're too busy killing the iraqi's and getting blow up ourselves. don't take that the wrong way, I support the army, I have a half brother over there, but I'm sick of this war and I want our troops home asap....it's not going to happen now because we're too far in now

I think the real problem with N.Korea having nuclear weapons is that they will be up for sale to any country or whacko who can pay the price......If that does occur make sure you have a good food storage and a safe shelter......and learn Arabic

They've always wanted direct negotiations with the US to try to extort economic settlements, and Bush keeps dodging them and trying to work throught the UN . . .which is not a bad strategy, but it's inconsistent with the unilateral action of the Iraq invasion.

actually as a vet i can honesty say it is the us that is annoying them.we have nothing better to do than try to control ever country on this planet and our day is coming when we will get punked by these little countries we have constantly pushed around.i am sure glad that god has my soul.
