First -- is anyone here REALLY surprised to find that yet another person was raped by a religious leader during their childhood?

Second -- how do the religious, right-wing republicans feel abot this "claim" he's making? They always get mad and claim that this is a "liberal" cop-out, to blame others for their pedophilia -- now, one of their own is (once again) playhing the "I was molested as a child" card to place blame for their behavior on someone or something else.

How will this play out? And, are any of you surprised to find yet another child-rape victim from inside a "house of bible"?

Dont they all have someone or something to put the blame on? Ridiculous. So if he was abused by a preist in his childhood. Why is he talking about it now? Why not then? ALL LIES!!

Don't you think a rational person would remember how that feels and NOT do it to someone else? That "excuse" is a cop-out for his sickness, and should not be tolerated by anyone. I'll add that he also jockeyed for that position on the committee to save kids from internet predators... I personally am sick of people, be they liberal, consevative, whatever, playing the blame game. He chose to do what he did. He knew what he was doing was wrong. It's called personal responsibility - something this country has forgotten about in the last few decades.

Add to that what David Kuo said on 60 minutes about how republicans in Roves office continually mock evangelicals. Told them they were being fooled. Hopefully they will start their own party now that they are organized and that will shake up the big two and we will actually get a less merchant organized government out of it.

That's an interesting point. How do republicans feel about Laura bush killing her ex-boyfriend in her car in high school and getting away with it? Or, her husband Dumbya deserting the military, as well as being a drunk and a coke-snorter? Yeah, a lot of interesting questions out there...

the bible and its followers are really "something else"

Foley is a sick piece of trash ! I don't even believe him about The Priest, it is a smoke screen to get some sympathy.

I am a Conservative Christian Republican, and I am ashamed of him, I hope he can be prosecuted, and is prosecuted, and becomes some guy named Buba's Pet Dog in Prison.

Child abuse is something that usually is passed from generation to generation.

How do the Democrates feel about Teddy running off a bridge and leaving a girl to drown, or John Kennedy removing the life boat from his PT boat?

Funny how something like that never comes out until it is the excuse for rotten behaviour!

He also said he was drunk, gay and mentally ill. Lots of excuses. I think he should have spent less time reading the Bible, and more time dating adult women.
