Well, first you would need to put your book of worship onto little cloth squares. In this case, let's use Christianity. You could take your Bible, and copy all of the pages onto your computer. Once you had it in your computer, you could print all of the pages onto little cloth squares and knit your own blanket. Then you would have a blanket with your religion on it! After a while, you would feel secure under your Bible blanket, and it would become your security blanket. That is how people can use their religion as a security blanket.

Religion allows you to know what will happen after you die. Death scares most people, and knowing what will happen brings you comfort against a scary occurence.
