Go to the petstore and purchase Bitter Apple...it will help them to stop licking and it is not poisionous to the pet.

Do you stare at him and pay him attention when he does so? Ignore it when he does it and walk away. When he stops licking and follows you praise him for following you or for doing good things. It was something like that anyway! Basically totally ignore and do not watch the bad behaviour, and when he is being good give him lots of extra praise!

There is a product named Grannicks Bitter Apple. Look for it in a pet store or ask your vet. Check before spraying it on anything to make sure it will not stain.

IF you think its gross, then why do you have a dog? Dogs lick, thought you would have thought about that before getting a dog.

sprinkle a little pepper on the things he licks the most...it's something that won't hurt him but will make him think twice about licking everything

i suggest bitter apple spray you can purchase it at any pet supply store and it is not harmful to them...Had a dog who would naw the chair legs and it worked, even tasted it my self just to make sure it wasn;t harmful.

sprinkle cayane pepper on things he is about to lick.
this also works on dogs that have a poop eating problem
