First go ahead and try all these earlier suggestions. Some of them sound promising. But if they don't work, go to a good stationery store that also sells fountain pens. They will almost certainly have ink remover as well. If there is no such store near you, try Fahrney's Pens in Wash. DC. They have a website and they do mail order. You won't be disappointed with them--they're a first class outfit.

Some ink can be washed off easily by soap and water, while some other types of ink can't. If the one got on your hands is the one that can't be washed off by soap then try to use carosene. It might be helpful. If this doesnt help then try to use thinner. Of course you have to be careful with this. Hope it may help you.

alcohol , like hairspray, polish remover. They will get ink out almost anything. Even permanent markers. I had a teddy and little girl wrote all over it with a permanent marker. So i use hairspray and sprayed it on the bear and i rub with a wash cloth and the marker came right out. It will get ink and marker off of a wooden table also.

Nail polish remover can help take off any kind of ink, dye, or paint. Keep scrubbing, and keep swabbing with nail polish remover until it's gone.

I always use a coal and tar soap, it is really effective and at the same time gentle to the skin. It also works on oil and grease.
