Domestic foil is usually made of aluminium. This can be recycled. Whether it's commercially viable depends on the price of aluminium and electricity. (It takes more electricity to recycle aluminium than to extract it from its ore)
Real tin foil used to be found in cigarette packets. It's not used any more - cigarettes are wrapped in paper printed with metallic ink. This could be recycled, but if you mixed it with aluminium it would not be of any use.

Have you ever seen tin foil?
Aluminum foil is common, but I don't think tin foil is available any more.
And yes, aluminum foil can be recycled.
Tin foil probably can also ... if you can find any.

Yes, Its just very thin aluminium, but it would take a terrible lot of gum being chewed. Of course what else do you do with it, except send it to the dump.
