They already take my tax returns. I have tried working out a payment plan but the agency the loans were sent to want at least $600 a month and that is my rent!!! I am single and make enough to live on. My loans total $70,000 (gotta love private colleges). The sad part is that when I was 2 classes shy of my bachelor's they said I reached my borrowing limit and had to drop out. Anyway, I would like to go to my best friend's wedding in May 2007 but I heard that with delinquent federal student loans they will not issue a passport...is this true?

Loans are not in simple terms forgiven for no stable reason. you're able to desire to touch whoever centers your loans. What kinds of loans did you're eliminating? you maximum probable will could desire to touch Direct Loans, ECSI, or the two.

I have never heard that before. You may want to contact a lawyer to find out the laws.

You can only try, and they can only say no. It doesn't take long, and they might not even see your loan status. Go ahead down to the office and apply; can't hurt.

And to "jen-Y???-fer: Shut up you biotch! It's not for you to judge the girl. In the first place, you can't even spell your own name; in the second place she doesn't need your "I don't even have a life" bulls'hit in place of the answer she seeks.

I have never heard of that happening in Canada, unless you defaulted on your child support
