Echinacea. I found a great one at GNC that is peppermint flavored. Just mix a dropperful or two in some juice about three times a day. Echinacea is an immunity booster and in my opinion is waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better than any disgusting flu shot.
Airborne seems to be pretty popular these days too. Never tried it myself but I've got good reviews about it.
Not sure what else would help aches or fever, though a nice warm bath with some eucalyptus bath salts would help. Eucalyptus is also wonderful for congestion. If you can find the fresh herb, just boil some in a pot, pour into a bowl and breathe in the fumes. It may get a little nasty once your airways start to open and what was blocking you starts comming out, so keep some tissues handy!

Make a lemon stew chop some lemons add to boiling water turn down to simmer for 10 minutes add honey to taste wrap up warm get lots of rest and sip throughout the day. I also favour feverfew and echinacea as a preventative medicine so start taking that too.

Good old fashioned paracetamol reduces fever.
For natural remedies I take a lemon and juice half and chop the other, chop up plenty of ginger and get a couple of spoons of honey. Mix all these together in a mug of boiling water and sup gently.
Hope you feel better soon!

monolaurin... you can buy it on ebay, made by ecolgical labs. for a virus to spread it has to attack cells and then multiply... the lauric acid in monolaurin breaks down the chemical compound on the outside of the infected cells so they can't divide into more cells which makes you more sick. great for colds and flu and also works really well if you feel a cold sore coming on.

Try Feverfew, it's a traditional herbal remedy that has been "scientifically" proved by quite a few studies-(unintentional pun).
