Well if following your heart means listening to your gut feelings ...... go for it! Your higher intelligence talks to you in so many ways ... one of those is that 'gut feeling'. And if you are still confused, go with your head ..... but 'if in doubt, do nowt!'

Neither. Follow your instinct, your gut. Your instinct is the best indicator I know on what is good and what is bad or what is right and what is wrong.
I always use my instinct and it has helped me over the years. I am happily married (30 yrs), have money, have wonderful kids, have everything I need ........all based on instinct.
For example: my instinct told me to marry my hubby. We were a great match, he was a hardworker, loving and caring, and that he would take great care of me. I WAS RIGHT ON.
My instinct told me what business to open what profession for my hubby and how to make money. All were right on.
My instinct has been a large part of who I made friends with, business associates, who to trust and who not to trust. It all comes from the gut and we all have the capability to use it.
Just listen to your inner self. Evaluate the person. Look at the match. Use your common sense and resist using just the heart.
Now in your relationship, what is your common sense or instinct telling you about this man? Is it good or bad or indifferent? Are you a perfect match? Is it real love or lust or infatuation?
I would give up the perfect love if the match was not made in heaven. If you can not live or be happy with this man for the long haul, move on. Sometimes we can love someone but can not live with them.

Well this will really depend on all the elements to the equation,normally I would say follow your heart but if the guy has cheated or is a drug addict or something then it could be follow your head.
eloborate on the situation a bit more.

Following your heart is not always the best decision. After all, you can love someone, but not all loves are good and healthy for us. It is always necessary to follow your head. You know better than anybody else if something is or isn't good for you. Part of maturing is knowing when or when not to follow your heart.So, let's see how mature you are...Use the good sense your mama gave you.

Always follow your heart first. Most guys will do really silly and sometimes stupid things that will piss women off and you have to remember to see the good side first, no matter what.
The head is used when you bring in logic, and rationality. Emotion always wins out though in the end.

I can't help it- i always follow my heart- very rarely it works out really badly, most of the time it works out really well. Life's for living, not avoiding- follow your heart on the day!

Always follow your heart........you head may cause some argument but always go with what your heart tells you, it will never be wrong, it may hurt in some cases but its always for the best.

Smart people follow their head first and then let their hearts follow.
You're much more happier that way....and less likely to be hurt.

If your head is telling you to leave him then go. Dont listen to your heart, that's how you get it broken. Men are manipulative and turn everything around to them . Dont fall into the trap of believeing
what they say or do. They are only in it for what they can get . DUMP HIM and move on
