Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

1. Fried foods are garbage. Potato chips, French fries and onion rings are pregnant with saturated fat and calories, yet they contain zero healthy or muscle-promoting nutrients. If you're on a fat-loss plan, simply eliminate fried foods. That alone will allow you to shed lard quickly

2. Drink a glass of skim milk as soon as you wake up. Some quick protein before you even step into the shower will energize you and end those morning cravings for Egg McMuffins and pastry.

3. Do 2 minutes of pushups every morning. It's tough to exercise as soon as you roll out of bed, but you can burn off 21 calories a day--2 1/2 pounds in a year.

4. Toss a quart of water in your briefcase. Water helps you burn calories--96 calories just by carrying a bottle while you walk for 20 minutes. Serve it over ice in your office and your body will burn 31 calories warming it to 98.6. Then there's the aerobic effect of all those bathroom runs.

5. Want to look better naked? Try drinking half as much alcohol. Alcohol contains calories. You may drink like a fish, but booze isn't water. Even a light beer has more than 100 calories. Booze makes you store fat. Your body sees alcohol as a poison, and tries desperately to get rid of it. Your liver stops processing all other calories until it has dealt with the alcohol. So anything else you eat during the time you're drinking is more likely to end up as fat. Alcohol also lowers testosterone. With more abdominal fat, testosterone drops.

Start by figuring out what your weaknesses and strengths are. If you know you're a snacker, purge your environment of unhealthy snacks and fill your fridge and cupboards with good things, so when you reach for something to nibble on 1) you aren't filling up with fat, sugar, and empty calories, and 2) you don't feel guilty--you feel like you're doing something right!

If you don't like to "work out" but you don't mind walking or riding your bike, make time to walk or ride regularly. Get some music with a beat to keep you going and keep your mind off of the exercise part. You'll get a mile or more in about 20 minutes if you walk briskly.

Set realistic goals and be disciplined, but not so hard on yourself that you end up giving up. Others have said it too, but drinking plenty of water helps cleanse your system and keeps you hydrated and sometimes full enough that you don't crave food when you really don't need it. Treat yourself once in a while so you don't feel deprived. I've lost 16 lbs in 5 weeks just doing this kind of routine, and now I've added some strength/weight training that is helping me tone up. Good luck.

Just make sure your daily calorie input is less than your daily calorie output.

To find approximately what your daily calorie output is, use a calorie calculator. There are some free ones online that you can find doing a search. Your daily calorie output depends upon your height, weight, age, male or female, and how much you exercise.

To find approximately what your daily calorie input is, read labels on the side of a box/jar/bottle. The calories is there with the nutritional info. To find what the calories are of foods in a restaurant or cafeteria, it's difficult, but online you can find the calorie content of various foods.

For me, I find that if I limit myself to less than 1400 calories per day, I can lose about half a pound a day. Faster if I exercise.
