all aspects of the christian cult are disturbing and often disgusting.
for example: going into the cult building to drink jesus' blood and eat his flesh. doing cannibalism AND DOING IT IN FRONT OF CHILDREN!! and even getting them to paticipate!!!
playing little games of symbolic cannibalism, and getting kids to do it!! talk about sick!!!

First of all you better be careful of what you say. Talking in tongues (heavenly tongues) is a gift of God, He allows the Holy Spirit to come upon you. When you speak in these heavenly tongue it's because the devil does not understand what your saying. But you better be careful, because God will not forgive you if you blaspheme the Holy Ghost. You obviously you and that so called interpreter don't know God, the son, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit, or else you would' say a dumb, foolish thing like that in the first place. May God have mercy on your soul

Well, the people that do that aren't real Christians. There are certain people that have the ability to speak in tongues, it is even in the bible. Whoever that "interpreter" was...WAS full of B.S.
The same thing with those crazy priests on TV...they only do it for the $$$, they are NOT real Christians.
Seven Li....What in the hell are you talking about??
I don't know what kind of christians you've been around, but i would run if i were you. Drinking his "blood" and taking his "flesh" is meant as a symbolism, where you take communion (his blood) and eat bread/wafers/etc. (his body). Learn your facts b4 you start speading things that make you look ignorant.

God is a God of order not of chaos. If people are speaking in tongues but it is really just a chaotic mess then it is not true. I had a friend once who was from a remote tribe in Africa. He spoke a dialect that hardly anyone even knows about. He went to one of those churches and they were speaking his dialect. They were jumping up and down and saying wonderful things about Satan and cursing God. Those people thought that they were worshiping GOD!!! God does use "talking in tongues" but on a level where someone else is benefiting from the language and it's not just a bunch of babel.

The majority of Christians do not speak in tongues, and many denominations forbid the practice outright.
Only Pentecostals and Charismatics regularly speak in tongues, and it appears that only a bare majority (60 percent) of them still follow the practice according to "Christianity Today" magazine (If you consider Mormons to be Christian, they speak in tongues sometimes too).
Why do you slander Christianity by bringing up a minority belief and ridiculing it? It makes you sound ignorant.

Jbyrd,
I went to a Pentecostal Church one time and yes, that was pretty disgusting.
HOWEVER, speaking in tongues is truly a gift from God, and the gift of it, from the Holy Spirit, does edify the self.
So I would be careful on where it's coming from before you decide which it is.

Your posting is as silly as saying there are no orgasms.
So basically, the woman or women you've been with have faked it all along.
Just because they told you they did and they faked it as you did, guess that means they (orgasms) don't exist.
Just because you don't have the Holy Spirit, doesn't mean others don't. You faked it. That's the difference.
Blasphemy is the unforgivable sin. I hope you are ready for the heat.

"We Christians" used to speak in tongues in the ancient world, as evidence of being invested with the holy spirit. It is not necessary nowadays. It is certainly not evidence of being a true Christian, which involves faith, hope, and love. "And the greatest of these is love," Paul wrote.

The pot calls the kettle black, interesting. A phony meets a phony and Jesus takes the heat. Both deceptions in my opinion are disgusting but I do commend you for finding a way for you to tell a phony. Although I do not like your method per se, I do admire your discernment.

It happened years ago at the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, but today no one speaks in tongues anymore.
