I would like to use my 6 gal porcelain crock.

SOUR TOMATOES (PAREVE)
Green Roma tomatoes (home grown taste best-must be green)
1 stalk dill
1 Tbsp. salt
4 bay leaves
2 buds garlic
2 large white onions
2 cups vinegar
1 oz. pickling spices
2 pkgs. sugar substitute
Cool water
Place tomatoes and onions into glass or plastic jar. Pack in hard. Pour in rest of ingredients. Add water until all tomatoes are submerged. Cover jar tightly. Place in dark place for several days, adding water if necessary to keep tomatoes submerged. Taste after 5 days and if sour enough for your taste, place jar in refrigerator until sour tomatoes are eaten.
