I'm a 17 year old female, and a senior at my school. During the summer, I developed minor pains underneathe my brest, on the left side of my chest. Since they were infrequent, and not too painful, I ignored it. Now it's getting more frequent and the pain is getting stronger. I try to tell my mom about these things but she always thinks I'm fine and that there's nothing wrong with me. I think it's pretty idiotic to think that nothing can be wrong with me medically, but apparently she thinks I have super abilities. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows what the pain could be, I appreciate any help.

It is a fairly vague symptom that you are giving. Seek medical advise from a doctor. If your parents won't take you, contact a school teacher or principal and they can help you get the help you need.

Could just be growing pains. Have you started having yearly exams yet? If not probably a good idea. The old idea of going once your sexually active doesn't work for me. Probably should go once start period. Only a doctor can diagnose or help for sure, but I'll tell you something. breast cancer runs in families so if your mom, grandma any relatives have cancer history, you don't want to mess around and wait to find out. better safe than sorry. but to ease your mind it probably is growing pain or menstruation related

While many of us could ( and probably will) guess at the cause of your pains, perhaps your doctor might be able to help put your mind firmly at ease. Go see him (her) asap. YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE.
