hello!! i have dry skin so i have to treat my skin everyday or else, i look like a freak. i wash my face daily morning and night with a clinique soap, then put clean &clear acne stuff. then i put some clinique exfoliant only on my cheeks. then i put aveda toner and aveda moisturizer!!!! even thought i probably spend 20 more min. on my face every day than the other kids, my skin is probably the worst!! my forehead has these disgusting, leathery, lines especially when i raise my eyebrows!! i;m dealing with acne and i have blackheads on my nose!! but what i'm concerned are the leathery lines!! i do have some facial hair as i am light-skinned and dark-haired. i pluck it off with tweezers, but maybe thats why the lines remain!!! i hate these lines!!! please give me any tips!! also, these lines arent really noticeable like wrinkles but you could definitely see them when i'm talking to someone up close.

This is a strange reccomendation but it worked for my sister, she had super dry skin. Bordeaux's Butt Paste worked for her. Bordeaux's Butt Paste is a diper rash creamfor babies, she used to rub on her her forhead before she'd go to sleep (Her skin would be softer by morning). This brand is generally sold over the internet, but I'm sure any diper rash ointment will do (ie Desitin, Johnson & Johnson, etc)

You are preventing your skin from producing proteins it needs to heal itself. You have to stop with all the products! Go to any drug store and by Cetaphil. It's the most generic looking stuff there is but it contains no fillers (which means its a cleanser it it's most natural state) and for what you are experiencing you need to get your skin to a point where it's working on its own. Start there. You dont have to stop plucking- but for the acne, have you tried the biore strips for the blackheads. Also you really shouldnt use benzolye peroxide because it can contribute to clogged pores, all that acne medication really does is either dries it to a point where the bacteria dies, or it exfoliates over and over until your skin is raw. My wonderful friend is an estitician (I dont know how to spell that word but, she has her own product line and works wonders on your skin.) I had the same prob- I feel you, good luck and email me if you want to talk to my friend she is on the east coast but she has a website and will really help you! jamie_madden2000@yahoo.com

Oh Dear! Sounds to me that you have sensitive skin and you are using too much product for your skin type. I would stop spending so much time too, the natural oils can be healthy to some extent. A great product that many use with sensitive skin is Cetaphil face wash and lotions. These are easy to find and are really the most gental products on your face. I too spent years fighting skin problems with a complex routine, then I found I was actually causing it myself. Don't be a skin care snob like I was, ditch the clinique and go for something better suited for your skin type.
Good luck to you!

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.
