I have had it for about 2 months.Nothing seems to help. I am going to go to the doctor and see what they say.Has anyone else had this problem?

yup, it turned out to be the virus that causes cold sores. travelled the nerve up into my nose. Valtrex took care of it.

Sounds like it could be a polyp. You're doing the right thing in going to the doctor. Often when you get a sore in a moist cavity (sounds yuck, I know) it takes longer to heal, especially mouth and nose as germs have good environment to grow.

I have the same problem right now.

First I thought it was a bit of snot (excuse that, I don't know the medical term) stuck in my nostril, but it's been there for a while.

Now I'm wondering if it is an ingrown hair or a cold sore, so like you I'm off to the doctor.

Lets see how we go!

anything like this after 2 months has to be evaluated so it is great to go and see a doctor. I had a friend who had an ingrown hair which became infected but the dr said it was dangerous if she did not treat it. So just go , it will be fine
