Are you referring to Tinian Island in the central Pacific? That was the island that the B-29's took off from that dropped the atomic bombs on Japan.

The airstrip is abandoned now, but still there. It's a very eerie place to visit. There is a monument at the site the bomb was loaded onto the plane.

I would imagine it would be 10+ hours flight time from there to Tehran.
