I'm a 17 year old female, and a senior at my school. During the summer, I developed minor pains underneathe my brest, on the left side of my chest. Since they were infrequent, and not too painful, I ignored it. Now it's getting more frequent and the pain is getting stronger. I try to tell my mom about these things but she always thinks I'm fine and that there's nothing wrong with me. I think it's pretty idiotic to think that nothing can be wrong with me medically, but apparently she thinks I have super abilities. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows what the pain could be, I appreciate any help.

I used to get pains in my ribs and I went to see a doctor about it and found out that I was getting knots in my muscles, which were getting caught between my ribs. You never know, though. I would get it checked out just in case it is something more.

You need to seek medical attention. If your parents keep ignoring you try a free clinic. That our you might figure out another way to talk to a doctor.

sounds like what my mother used to call "growing pains", and actually that isn't all that far off. At your age, you are still growing, and the tissues are adjusting to that growth, it sounds like perhaps your intercostal tissue between your ribs is getting stretched, bet a nice hot soak in the tub would ease that discomfort.
