Let's say you belong to a church or any community group, and several members of that congregation/group are making a trip to Mexico to help build homes and feed/clothe the people down there. Would you protest this? Or would you pretend to agree with the idea because you feel you need to "go with the flow"? And what would you then call these people who are volunteering their time and efforts to go down there and do this? Not trying to make a point, just curious!!

2006-10-17 10:52:55 · update #4

Youre right because posting a question asking people how long it takes a juice box to thaw is some seriously important stuff!! LMAO!! Im sorry who's wasting who's time on here??!!

2006-10-17 10:57:24 · update #5

Yes I am worried about actually that is also concerning my child! But you see the difference is that your question is stupid in that you could have just frozen one and seen how long it takes to thaw. And Im not the one who came on here originally criticizing anyones question miss high and mighty, that would be you. Next time you see me post a question you may want to move on to the next one if it bothers you so much to answer them!! You mentioned that I was losing an argument, what argument?? Youre the one who got mad because I called you out on the fact that you responded in regards to a point not being made when that was so clearly stated in the question to begin with. Move on girlie the only thing youre accomplishing is the fact that youre still wasting your time!! Bubye!!

OK- what is your point?

Nothing wrong with reaching out to help people in need but to allow bus load after bus load come here and drain our society is two different things.

edited to add:
Well even if you didn't have a point- our point is your 'question' makes no sense. One has NOTHING to do with the other.

Not wasting my time- I can read pretty fast. Can't you? Plus I got 2 points and you wasted 5 on a stupid question that makes no sense.

What are you 12? You lose an argument and are ready to have a tantrum? *L* I read perfectly well what you wrote the 1st time but the thing is- no matter how many times anybody reads it- it still makes no sense.

well- let's look at the differences:

Frozen juice boxes- benefits my child- and I asked it in appropriate forum. So yes. That is important.

And you are worried about the song to spiderman? Uh yeah- you're 12. That's ground breaking stuff! Whoo hoo- you are so right.

Goodness gracious- you have gotten really flustered, huh? That's too bad. But yeah- I agree. I will move on because you bore me and your questions make no sense and your biker lady joke was really dumb.

I have already done something like that.A few years ago my women's group raised enough money to fill 5 semi trailers with food and new clothing. We took it to Chihuahua
and after having to pay a big bribe we hired armed guards at the insistence of the Mexican police, we were allowed to go to our destination and distribute the food and clothing. Helping those that live in Mexico is totally different than helping illegal immigrants. One is legal the other isn't.I helped organize this trip and we enjoyed doing it.We tried to do it again and could not get permission from the Mexican government. They wanted to take our trucks and do what they wanted to do with the food and clothing. So we gave it away in El Paso instead.
I'm not sure what your real point is if any but yes I will help people and yes I am anti illegal.

Charity is always a great thing. The line between the differences should not be crossed in my opinion. I would help out more to keep the poor in their own country, truth be told. Also, charity begins at home, and I think the illegal aliens governments need to realize that well known fact. I still am not swayed to support any form of amnesty for those criminals.

If they were on a mission that was sanctioned by the foreign government, I'd praise them. If they crossed illegally in the other country, I'd say they deserve to be put in jail or fined and deported.

Why don't people listen? The point is, if you do something illegal you should be punished, not praised. Crossing into America without permission is ILLEGAL.

Listen do you know how much money the American government send to Mexico every year, billions, and you don't see the Americans complaining. We are always ready to help countries out sides of our borders. What we don't like is them coming into our country and do what they are doing. We don't like it we don't wanted it and we will complain and complain until they stop invading our country. Not only from Mexico from any country.

Ok...be for real...like you are not trying to make a point. Here is one for your pleasure:

"I like Mexicans when they are living in Mexico." Now I will go watch some water boil. It beats sitting on here for 5 hours commenting on every single last pathetic answer I get.

I do belong to a church that does this. I'm not sure what your point is or what helping others has to do with illegal immigration. I am for helping others regardless where they live and am against illegal ANYTHING including immigration. I would call the people who volunteer VOLUNTEERS.

2006-10-17 17:40:46 · answer #7 · answered by mei-lin 5 · 4 0

People do that. That's nice. I'm sure they go legally. So why would I have a problem with that?

That has nothing to do with illegals coming here and driving down our schools and social services. I don't get why you would think we would have a problem with it?

I would not "go with any flow" that is this ridiculous. Americans have no business doing mission work outside our country as long as we have cold children, homeless people living under bridges, and the elderly living in unsafe homes.
