I'm trying to lose some weight so I want to eat more salad...however, the only dressing I can stand to have is ranch...which basically defeats the purpose of having a low cal salad. anyone know of any good tasting dressings that are low calorie? i've tried fat free ranch and it's just disgusting...i guess i like the more creamy types as opposed to italian or something like that...but its hard to find good tasting ones

This dressing is low cal and delicious! 1/3 cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1 clove garlic chopped fine, 1 or 2 scallions chopped fine. Beat til mixed well and dress salad. Remember, your salad should not be drenched in dressing. There should be just enough to lightly coat the salad. Another hint is to use arugula instead of lettuce. Arugula had a delicious peppery taste. Enjoy!

I know you said you prefer creamy, but the fat free Italian does taste just like the original. They might have a fat free creamy italian!

Plain salsa is a great dressing and has very very few calories.
Try Chi-Chi's brand.

Try one of the new "spray on" dressings... they are distributed more evenly, allowing you to use less.
