Why do people sometimes answer the dumbest questions?

I was told that no questions are dumb because some people really just dont know but the older I got and the more I sat down in class and listened to these questions in college I realized that some teacher just made that crap upp so the dummies dont feels so bad about asking a dumb question so there you go they ask dumb questions because some retart told them it was okay!

there are no such things as dumb answers, just dummies that didn't as a question. only a "know it all" would have the balls to call someone else question dumb, just because you might know the answer, doesn't mean everyone does, also just because you think you know it all really proves you don't because no one does.
sometimes a person just may not know just how to ask a question, those that answer the question seriously may enlighten the asker enough to help understand what it is they really want to know.

I don;'t know, but I had a look at some of the questions you have asked and by the looks of it, you should be an expert on reasons why people ask dumb questions.

The first thing my parents thought me (bless them) is no question is dumb!!!
How did u gather all your knowledge? By asking right? 'Dumb or intelligent' questions.
