i had a virus and thought i had got rid of it. I reinstalled windows2000 and now my computer can only run on safe mode. I think either the virus or me deleted some files that are needed for windows to run. how do i get my computer to run normally again?

did you format the harddrive first before reinstalling, if you did then you would not have safe mode starting on bootup and you def would not have a virus still on it. format the hardrive and reinstall

Hmmm, reinstalling windows should've fix your problem. Maybe something went wrong with the reinstall. I'd try again and make sure you delete and re-create all partitions.

go to microsoft.co and install windows defender2 and install windows live onecare

I would think you need to have it re-programmed.
