Yes. Rape. It is hard, but you really need to talk to someone, a person trained in counseling for this type of trauma. There are rape crisis phone numbers in your phone directory where you can talk and not have to give your name. Please know that there are many people who have suffered this and they have gone on to get over it. It is something that will take time.
I am sorry for the person who did not get over it. I think you need more help, not an institution. Good luck.

I have run into several of these women..and have made the suggestion relating to what is deeply implanted into the subconscious mind. Talking about it usually brings back the emotions of a different age.. not the same ones that were originally implanted.. so are now adding to the implants rather than taking them away.

Since you are computer literate, you can understand symbols..These are what are stored within the deeper recesses of the mind. Not obvious to the intellect. Those emotional symbols must be removed at a level other than the conscious level.. A simple mental exercise usually does the removal for most people. I have a nurse undergoing this presently.. with some noted relief already... within 2 weeks.

I was molested as a kid. I deal with it by self loathing, an eating disorder, self-mutilation, socially withdrawing and 2 trips to a mental hospital.
So far none of it has proven helpful.

By talking to a therapist trained in that area. If you choose this route make sure the therapist has training in that field. Just don't settle for any therapist. Unless someone has been through it they do not know how devastating it is. Good luck. I know what you are going through.

There is a book called Women Suvivor of Child Insest. I read it because I walked in and found my step dad molesting my younger sister and brother. He didn't touch me but it still effected me. I would also read other self help books and see a threapist.
