James 3:10-12 is an excellent passage about the use of our words. In Galatians 5 it says that outburst of anger are the work of the flesh. Righteous anger is not like selfish human anger it is settled anger against evil and not because of some selfish motive. God is never out of control like it sounds like your sister was. If you are going to use the bible to try to correct her remember to use it in a positive and humble manner yourself. Remember to do unto others and let him who is without sin cast the first stone. You will never win her over by acting like her or trying to beat her up with the bible.

"Let no filthy talk come out of your mouths, but only what is good for building up as the need may be. This way you will give grace to those who hear you." (Ephesians 4:29)

"Obscene, flippant, or vulgar talk is totally inappropriate. Instead, let there be thanksgiving." (Ephesians 5:4)

"For all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and sea creatures can be or have been tamed by the human species, but no one can tame the tongue. It is an uncontrollable evil filled with deadly poison. With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse those who are made in God's likeness. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. It should not be like this, my brothers!" (James 3:7-10)
