We use milk from a lot of animals other than just cows. If it were that bad, people would be dying from it all the time.

It is OK...
Just don't drink it if you're lactose intolerant, lol.
I've not heard of it killing or even seriously harming anyone that is able to digest it... unless someone did something terribly wrong with it, such as letting it go bad for months past the expiration, etc. There are some ideas going around about how it can cause problems for people in the future, but there aren't a whole lot of good studies or evidence on that.
Some people (vegans, etc.) choose not to drink it, some people are opposed to cruel treatment that dairy cows go through, and so on. One idea behind the 'milk is bad' thing is that dairy cows are pumped full of hormones and such. This COULD cause us problems, though it too is not fully understood yet. I'd say go with organic or locally produced milk if possible.
I don't like milk and thus don't drink it, but I live on what used to be an old farm up until my father's generation.
None of my ancestors from there had any problems associated as far as I saw or know. They died of old age/natural causes.

I think one of the problems with the milk supply today is all the hormones and antibiotics they give to the cows that are producing the milk. You would be better off drinking organic milk or soy milk. As someone has already suggested, do some research, talk to the nutritionist and form your own opinion.

Cows milk is meant for baby cows, breast milk is made for baby humans. There is more evidence of hip and other fractures in countries where people drink milk than in the countries that do not drink milk past infancy. Look how many people who are lactose intolerant, it wasn't meant to be in our diet.

Dairy can affect many people negatively, and if you have any concerns, switch to Soy Milk. Why do you ask if drinking milk seems strange when we consume every other part of an animal? Nature didn't intend us to eat, drink, or smoke most of the things we do.

Well, most mammals are expected to drink milk in some form (at least during their infancy) and the pasturization process really makes milk quite harmless. Anything that makes cow's milk different from the milk humans can drink is burned away.
However, milk is quite fatty and doesn't exactly aid in digestion. Out bodies can generally tolerate milk after infancy, but they weren't designed to.

From my research, cow's milk is harder for humans to digest. Goat's milk is more like human milk.
I prefer soy milk though.

people have been drinking milk for hundreds of years.
you think it's deadly, and we just didnt notice?
of COURSE it's "ok," but it's not suggested. all humans develop a certain degree of lactose intolerance after a certain age.
