Hi there!
I started a new "diet" which constists of healthier eating (I wasn't even bad before, but now I won't eat snacks between meals) and running for 45 mins, with a half hour walk off with the dog.
I realise a lot of people will say I've been "brainwashed" but I've only realised that I've gone up two sizes and I'm not happy at all!
I'm 17, and would like to get back to my original size of a UK 8, but I was wondering if I have missed anything out in my little "weight loss" expedition... I know you're supposed to "consult a doctor" and all that jazz, but quite frankly I don't think my doctor would say much, as she never does.
Thankyou for reading!
:D
xx

you're only 17 and your body is still changing shape! keep healthy, cos thats great, excercise and eat healthily too. but just be careful because sixe 8 isnt normally how you'll end up, dont be too hard on your self if you dont lose the pounds, enjoy being fit and healthy instead.

I guess it depends on what you consider "healthy eating". And it depends on quantities as well. I would cut out carbs, that's bread, pasta, potatoes, but don't completely eliminate them. Eat more protein, veggies and fruits. Rice is very good. Dairy is excellent, you don't want to lose any calcium, especially with the exercising. Also, when you exercise, you gain muscle tone, which weighs more than fat. So you could be in better shape, more fit looking, but still weigh the same or more. Cutting out snacks is good, but cut down on quantity too. And if you are eating healthy foods, you can eat more of them. I lost 40 pounds in the last 6 months just by reducing portions, not eating carbs, and exercising, swimming and weights. Good luck, keep it up, and it will show, sooner than you think!

Sounds like your diet and exercise plan is very sensible. You don't have to cut out all snacks...try cut up raw vegetables, fruit, stuff like that as snacks, so you won't feel hungry.
