Years ago when Paul became apostle to the gentiles, christians were persecuted and thrown to the lions for their belief and not paying allegiance to Rome's emperor. Because Christians went to the death singing and praising The Lord creator of heaven and earth, many people feared and became christians. The true christian church always grew under severe persecution.

Constantine the Great needed to control the masses so he legalized Christianity and had the Council of Nicea setup the Catholic Church. He was a jerk who murdered his own family.
