I have heard this term before, and from my perspective as a practicing Witch, you cannot be a Christian Witch. The basic principles do not mesh. In Christianity You cannot put any other God before him. and there is only 1 God a male God. In Witchcraft, you believe in the Goddess and God but the primary focus is the Goddess. then you also have various other Gods. We also do not believe in or worship the Satan or believe in Hell either. we don't believe that you have to be forgiven for your sins, we don't believe in principle of sinning. your responsible for your own actions. we do not have to accept a person in your life ie: Jesus to enter Heaven. We believe in reincarnation, Karma. we don't believe that some Died for Us. We also believe in Being in tune with the rhythm of nature and the earth energies. there many other things that we believe in, these are a few main ones though

Early christian sects were often a combo of pagan / early christian beliefs/rituals. From wikipedia: "the lack of uniformity in ancient Christian scripture in the early period is very striking, and it points to the substantial diversity within the Christian religion."

"Richard Reitzenstein and Wilhelm Bousset were two scholars who did manage to grasp the relevance of these ancient faiths for the study of early Christianity. Their conclusion was a simple and seemingly inevitable one: Once it reached Hellenistic soil, the story of Jesus attracted to itself a number of mythic (pagan) motifs that were common to the syncretic religious mood of the era." (1)

"Is there a scholarly consensus about the Pagan origins? No, there isn't. That the facts suggest a Pagan - Christian connection, everyone agrees." (2)

Aside from that, nothing is better - nothing is worse. In this, there is the impression that there could be something wrong with someone who integrates the two belief systems. This person can perhaps love themselves more fully and accept their own inclinations. There are many arguments for and against the melding of multiple traditions into a personal faith system. It is up to this person to decide what is best for them. The important thing is that this person is seeking the truth. Once that journey begins, it never ends.

I'm sorry...I don't mean to offend, but I have a difficult time putting those two words together, because the Christianity I believe in - condemns witchcraft in any form. I believe this is because when we believe in and trust God, we don't have any need to engage in things like spells or incantations etc. in order to "influence" the outcome of anything....we just pray and believe that God will do for us what we cannot do for ourselves.

Deut. 18:10-12 10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD:

There are people who are Christian witches, unbelieveable that everybody thinks it's a contradiction in terms, considering the bible condones it in 1 corinthians chapters 12 and 13--personally I think that having no christianity is a good thing

I wouldn't say that it's better. It is what it is.

And yes, one can be a follower of the moral example of Jesus of Nazareth and also believe in witchcraft and natural magick. It isn't necessary for other Christians to approve or acknowledge this fact for it to be true. As for witches worshiping Satan--this is false. Most modern witches don't even believe in the Christian myth of Satan.

That's imposible, because Bible says you can't serve two masters.
Or you are christian and serve God, or you are a witch and serve the devil...
You can only choose one...my advice is don't serve the devil, people in my country say: Bad pays devil to those who serve him good, and God really loves you.

I personally feel better having no Christianity at all, but that's just me. I'm glad for you that you've managed to blend the two within yourself. Just be careful around the fundies. You know, Exodus 22:18 and all that. Blessed be!

That may be correct as you understand it, but scripture disagrees with you.

you cannot follow both, they are contrary to eachother.

God does not want you with one foot in the water, and one foot on the ground. True Christianity is living by faith daily, to trust God and Him alone, to do away with our ways, and our choices and allow God control of our lives.
Divination of any sort is an abomination and there is scripture that shows us what happens when Saul consults a witch of Endor to summon the spirit of Samuel. This clearly is a lesson of seeking familiar spirits, something that wiccans clearly do, although many will protest, by this scriptural example we know that the wiccan practice is not allowed and therefore, a wiccan Christian is not the true name, you are wiccan, and until you put down the ways that are contrary to scripture, even if you believe in Jesus, you cannot serve both.

Scripture tells us that even those who say " Jesus, Jesus, I prophesied in your name..." Jesus will say to them " Go away I never knew you... " meaning they may have a form of godliness but it isn't comparable to what God expects of us in our walk. Deeds and works that fufill our own desires cannot and are not of God, deeds and works that are done in Jesus name that have underlying selfish intentions, are not of God...

You are not a Christian witch, Christian is to be Christ like, and Jesus would never defile His father to follow satan.
Wiccans do not believe in evil or the devil, but God created the angel lucifer, an angel that was loved by God deeply, and through his own selfish gain, Lucifer wanted to become god... you know the story, if you do not believe this, then picking and choosing what you want in the bible isn't the will of God either, by choosing what you want to believe or not from His word, is calling God a liar, and telling Him, in our own arrogance that He is wrong...

"All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weight by the Lord." Proverbs 16:2

Romans 3:4 " Let God be true, and every man a liar."

God bless,
Shannon

Witchcraft is the same as rebellion. You cannot be a Christian Witch. Witches are only witches because they have rejected Jesus Christ as Lord of their life.

To become a Christian, one has to repent of not believing in God & His Only Begotten Son, believe in ones heart the atonement for sins & resurrection. Person is no longer a witch, but a born again Christian.

Carnal Christians can sometimes slander others (curse). But usually they learn quickly that God will discipline them.
