Here is the link to our Saskatchewan Tourism site. I know it is geared towards tourism, but it may give you an idea of the areas in Saskatchewan and where you may want to live.

Also, Lloydminster is on the Saskatchewan/Alberta border and is around 21/2 to 3 hours from Edmonton. Here is the link to their site:

Laird is about 60 kms north of Saskatoon. Like most of small town Saskatchewan, there probably isn't much there. I'm not sure where you are from, but if you're looking for big city life, you won't find it in Laird. Saskatchewan is (population wise) a very small province, with small urban centers and large rural areas. Depending on what kind of employment you are looking for, it would probably be best to stick to larger urban areas (Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current, etc.) Housing is still quite a bit cheaper in our cities than Calgary or Edmonton, and they're large enough to have all amenities, while not so large that you're constantly fighting traffic (you can get most places in 15 minutes or so). I guess it depends on what you want out of life.

We'd love to have you in either Regina or Saskatoon, the major cities in Saskatchewan. Don't overlook funky Moose Jaw.
