many of us arent angry, you just say we are angry because whenever we are noticed is when someone says some hater remark that we make an angry response to because it is so insulting. we would much rather just live off the radar but that is not always possible with people like you keep trying to drop the a-bomb that is religion on our hiroshima aka. you are hating many people that did nothing to you in order toget back at the ones you hate

No, it's because a lot of them see the world being run by illogical, superstitious people who think they're the only ones who are right and who would force their beliefs onto everyone else. And if this weren't enough to make anyone angry, the realization that the superstitious people are in the majority and ruining the world is enough to push anyone over the edge.

I'm an atheist and I'm happy all the time, except when I have to deal with ignorance or fundaMENTALs (of any religion). My life simply couldn't be any better than it is right now. It wasn't always so, but I have worked hard and found happiness and contentment within.

Have a great day! ;-)

I don't know about angry. I'm scared.

I'm scared that there are some truly deranged people in this world (religious people) that have access to some very dangerous weapons, and have the ability to mobilize the rest of the deranged people into armies, to kill each other over whose derangement is right. This wouldn't really bother me except for the fact that all of the sane people, like myself, are right there in the crossfire.

Yes, I said scared. If that makes me appear angry, I apologize.

Edit - Nikki - Who gave Bush the presidency? That's about the biggest gun there is, honey.

Could it be that they finally get fed up of fending off attacks by God fearing Christians? If any folks feel incomplete, it appears to be the seriously Biblically, dogmatically inclined.

See now, that's what I call a "Big sister" question. Why don't you just come on out of that closet. Why don't you go to the 'nancy' section and ask the same question, except change the word atheists to gays?
Of course(sarcasm sarcasm) that's it!!!(sarcasm sarcasm) and we want you to feel incomplete too. The rest of you.. you know... to match your brain.

Here is the main reason(and we are not angry at everyone, just Christians):

I have been an atheist for 30 years. I do not go out looking for debates or arguments against religious people. I dont wear a sign around my neck that says I DONT BELIEVE IN GOD! I dont make it a point to tell everyone I meet what I believe or dont believe. I really only divulge my beliefs when someone asks me what they are. (and here is where your question comes in) When I do tell religious people that I am an atheist it is like I am the lowest form of life on Earth. These people talk to me in ways that just amaze me. They tell me I am wrong, that I will go to hell for not believing. I am treated as an outcast. These are usually Christian people, who are supposed to be forgiving, and full of kindness and love for their fellow man and yet they treat me like dirt because I dont believe what they believe. I dont bad mouth their religion. I dont "blaspheme" their god. I just tell them I dont believe and I get s*** upon. So, the atheist you say "are angry" are probably defending themselves by attacking the people who attacked them first. Try it. Tell a Christian you dont believe. See what kind of reaction you get. You will understand why atheists have to use what we can to defend our opinions

Atheists are not all angry. Why would you assume that? I guess it could be because of religious fanatics claiming atheists are going to hell and their continuous attempts in converting non religious people. It could also be because religion causes wars through differences in beliefs.I wonder why your so happy and complete when there are people around the world fighting because of religions that supposedly makes people complete. You may be "complete" but others are not!A neutral view is the best view!!!

Gee, why don't you try even harder to make assumptions of a people you are not a part of and can't legitimately speak for.

There are MANY believers who act angry all the time to ya know.

It's so funny what wonder child said that they are being badgered are the time when her and her filthy sects don't belong here at all in a religious forum. I guess they use this as a venting station to spew hate. Go figure!
