They will probably require shots also. If you can't take care of your dog, you should give it to someone who can.

Why not rent a van? She can take breaks and stop often. That sounds like the best bet. We take long road trips and I have driven 15 hours in one day with 2 small children. Moving across country we stayed in inexpensive places and left our cat in the car for the night, some places allowed her into the room. It's only for the night so it won't be too hot. Be sure you have him in a crate too so he won't tear anything up. If you do this, slightly crack the window and provide fresh cool water and food after you've let your puppy go to the bathroom and exercise ALOT! Wear him out so he just goes to sleep, traveling wears out everyone, so this shouldn't be a problem. Good luck! How far are you moving? Good Luck!

Why don't you rent a van and stay overnight some place. Some hotels allow animals. Road trips are fun! It will give you and your mom some time together.

Where are you moving from and to? Maybe staying overnite a couple places on your way and taking your time is the best answer.
