the key to getting rid of a headache is all about balance.

Bodily fluids require balance to maintain the much needed fluids in our own bodies. When we lack an particular type of balance, we get not only headaches but lots of other things as well.

Best bet here is to find out what caused it in the first place. Cold medications are only a temporary solution.

I would try drinking some frozen concentrated orange juice first off. At least 2 tall glasses of it. That will take away the effect of the medication and cold symptons.

Second, you have to be aware of your cycle as well. Sometimes this will cause it directly or not, depending on how much stress you are feeling.

Drink lots and lots and lots of water, then drink some more. Some headaches caused by sickness are caused by dehydration. Little known fact straght from the Doctors mouth. If it turns to a migraine, and you just can't shake it...head over to the ER and tell them you have had the headache for a while, ask if an injection of Nubain would be good for you. It is a shot, in the hip...or butt, what ever you call it.

Get some excedrine.. I suffer from cronic migrains and headaches and what you should do is take 2 of those excedrin, turn off the lights, put a cold rag on your forehead, no niose and concentrate on sleep. You should wake up and the pain should be not near as bad or gone.

I definately agree with the other girl here. Get away from the computer for a while. Take a few asprins (whatever you take usually) and lay down. Set an alarm for 20 minutes. Get up after that, don't sleep for much more than that. Hope that helps!

Take one pill of Excedrin (250mg) no alcohol during the medication. It works in less than 30 minutes.

Try caffiene. Also go somewhere where the lights arn't as bright. Worst comes to worst go to the nurses office and use an ice pak on your head or neck to help with blood flow. Good luck!
