Reason for asking is that I am going to college football game Saturday with sister and her family, and I prefer to take my own car and I have noticed I prefer that anytime I go long distances in a vehicle. I guess it is the feeling of control. Just wondering if I am the only one out there?

Nope im the same way. When I go home 15 hours each way I drive all of it. Mainly b/c I like to be in control. Im not a control freak at all though. I also dont like to sit in the back b/c I like to see whats going on. I also like to drive alone (if choice is given) b/c I can choose the music and I can crank it up which usually annoys my occupants.

I also prefer to be the driver. It may be about control but I also know that I am an attentive and competent driver. I can't relax when other people drive unless I know that person to be a good driver. Too many people are aggressive or they don't pay attention or they aren't consistent. Plus, most people really aren't very considerate of their passenger(s). They take corners sharply, gun out of stop lights, make sudden stops. With so many bad drivers out there, I prefer to be able to have the ability to act and react rather than just praying I don't get killed by my driver or someone else.

Yeah I like driving more. If I'm riding for a long time I usually get tired and get a headache. Driving keeps me focused.

I'm the same way. I need to be in control. Well, unless my boyfriend is driving. I'll let him drive while I bug the hell out of him.

Not at all. I've driven 10-hour stretches just to avoid being made nervous by somebody else's driving.

Sitting for ten hours or any other long trip, as opposed to driving is far harder to deal with.

I prefer to vomit while driving makes the time go so muccch faster.
