I can't believe the answers you have been given. Some people are so insensitive.
Do you have a high metabolism if so this could be preventing you from gaining weight. My daughter has this problem she is 5' 6" and weighs under 7 stone. Go and see your gp there are tablets you can take which will help. I wish you well

I weigh two of you! Try Baltis and Guinness, it worked for me. I left school in 1997 weighing 8 stone. I am now approaching 26 in a couple of weeks and weighh just over 14 stone. I would like to lose about two stone. If I do, I'll send the fat to you in plastic bags, free of charge. Just be happy with what you have, and make sure you hold hands with someone in strong winds.

I had this problem when I was youngr. I hated being 7 stone. I gained weight by eating a lot of bananas daily in addition to everything else. However I found that after reaching 40 I began putting on weight anyway. Good luck

I have the same problem. I have a high metabolism though. No matter what i eat, i just can't put weight on. I went to the doctors and she prescribed me a drink called enlive. I haven't been drinking it for long, but i am finding it is working. Go to your doctors and see if you can get some sort of drink like that as well. It does work!! It is the only thing that is helping me put on weight!! Good luck!

you need to visit your gp and get some advice. Then you should eat healthy foods increasing portions by a little a day.However because your weight is rather low ,though of course this depends on your height you may need to have some blood tests done to rule out underlying causes such as thryoid trouble. That sure is a low weight if you're a guy, but not so desperate if a girl. Plenty of good red meat should help plus the usual fruit and veg.
Incidentally (for the guys) when I went for my Pilot's medical examination in 1941 I weighed only 120 lbs (8st.8lbs) but Service food soon put on another stone .

Make sure you eat your food fast and chew as little as possible swallow as much as possible whole, the body has more trouble braking it down and working it off pastas real good stuff for adding weight wash it all down with your bulk drinks. move around more slower and look for relaxation techniques as well it will all add to slowing your metabolism down meditation or yoga is quite relaxing cause if your stressed worried or suffering anxiety that well speeds the metabolism up and you will never put on weight.

Eat small 4-5 portions per day. If you preferre to drink this is a milk shake based drink called Build-up you could buy this at your local chemist or Boots but if you go to your GP you could get Calshake is may different flavours and you could also get Calshape soup and Biuld-up soup, but I prefer the Calshake

If you want muscle weight:
-Eat 1-2 grams of protein for every pound you weigh each day (no more than 40 grams at a time).
-Work out with heavy weights and low reps every other day to stimulate muscle growth (if you can do it more than 6 times, it's too light).
-Give your body plenty of time to repair before you work a certain muscle out again.
If you just want weight:
-Eat at McDonalds in-between meals (I did this and gained 20 pounds in a short amount of time).
-Quit doing any cardio (It's simple math: take in more calories than you burn).
