because when you blow in thier face it takes thier breath away, it's hard to breath when your being blown at your direct face. it also makes them swallow constantly.

okay I can be a wiseass and ask what you would do if I blew in your face, but instead I'll just go by what I've learned. Our dog tries to bite the air when we blow in his face or try to use the blow dryer with him. Our vet told us it was because it was irritating the small hairs in his ears, basically it tickled and he is trying to bite the air because it's his best defense.

i imagine a dogs's react that thanks to having air blown of their face because its a wonder, its like having a magnificent basic flashed on your face, its disorienting. If I play tug with my dogs and blow on his nostril, he will shall we flow and bounce decrease back. Its the wonder aspect i believe.
