Like she said that TIGI Bed Head works...but for some people...and considering your hair is messed up after 15 mins, this is what I suggest you do. This is my answer to a girl with the same problem and she picked it as the best answer, hopefully this helps you out as well. In a part of it, I talk about flat irons, and yes I am aware that you don't want one, so just use your current flat iron and see if you like the results, if not, come back to my advice.

I'm not gay but I do like to take care of how my hair looks and if any women think that there is something wrong with that, please let me know because I appreciate your honesty.

The best anti frizz system is from PHYTO....but they are expensive, however, they will get the job done....

PHYTO has many products for different hair....but here is what I suggest you use.

1) Phytobrush Shampoo
2) One of Phyto's instant hydrating conditioners (the ones that you rinse off)
3) PHYTO's Relaxing balm (this is what you would use prior to blow-drying and its the best relaxing balm...it's allure's winner...its $25 for a 3.3 oz bottle...if you want more you can pay the same amount and get 7.1 oz of Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream, that works great as well.
4) After you have blow-dryed, use BioSilk Therapy and apply it to your hair
5) Use a flat iron (and of course use a heat protectant...CHI 44, Sebastian Sharper Iron Hot Tools, Nexxus Protexx are just a few...
6) Use a good flat iron (People will tell you CHI is the best, it gives great results but breaks down, and if you purchase it online the warranty is void...) so use the SEDU flat iron, its the best and if you want proof and reviews with b4 and after pics, go to folica.com and see the reviews for the 1 1/2" they have...its also allure's winner as well....if you want a more detailed breakdown of flat irons see my other answers regarding flat irons (again I'm not gay)

7) Follow through with PHYTO 7 or 9 depending of how dry your hair is as they are leave in conditioners...
8) Use the PHYTO deep conditioner masks that are to be used once a week...

Obviously the last 2 steps do not de-frizz your hair, but that is taken care long before you get to them....the last 2 steps are just to help your dry hair.

Hope it helps.

I have VERY curly hair too (like spiral curly!). And I found a hair straightening brush (you can get it at like Walmart or Sally Beauty Supply) - it's like a clamp with a hinge, and a brush on both sides. You can literally clamp it on a section of your hair, and pull it through while you're blow drying it. I usually do that first, and then run over it with a hair straightening iron afterward (on a very low setting) to smooth out the ends. Also, to keep humidity from frizzing it out, I'll take a little bit of mousse and run it thorugh my hair before I dry it. It usually works great for me.
You should also look into possibly getting it chemically straightened. It costs about as much as a perm. When I had it done, it made my hair SO MUCH easier to straighten, and cut my drying time by more than half! That is a more permanent fix though - you can't get rid of the straightening and go back to curly, until it grows out and wears off.
BUT DON'T TRY TO STRAIGHTEN IT YOURSELF with a kit from the store... They are VERY damaging to your hair. My mom actually melted the hair off of her scalp with one of those before! HAVE I PROFESSIONALLY DONE! It's worth it.

I am like you, my hair is wavy and frizzes after I dry it straight. If you really want to love your hair, go buy a straightner, Ogalbe is less then $10, your hair might feel kinda weird like you didnt get all the chemical out, then go to a salon and get a deep condition, (under the dryer) you will absolutly love your hair!!!!!!!!!!! I could not beleive how my hair was, it was straight, light, it was so pretty I almost cried!!!! Nothing is going to work other then that, there is no gel, no shamoo, no trick, even with a flat iron, as soon as your hair hits humidity......POOF! I know cuz Ive been there. I now have straight sleek hair, and I love it!

a million) Use stable shampoo and conditioner, smoothing or straightening. no longer all manufacturers are created equivalent. organic Essences usually does what it says, and it smells astonishing; i take advantage of their straightening shampoo an conditioner, which does no longer incredibly make my hair straight away yet does gentle it and make it extra ordinary to artwork with. 2) Use a reliable warmth protection spray. Chi has one that smooths on a similar time. be sure you do no longer use too lots or it's going to look greasy. Straighten approximately 4 inches extensive by using a 0.5 inch at a time; it takes a whilst yet lasts lots extra effective. 3) confirm it is on a intense sufficient warmth putting (i take advantage of four hundred levels; lots, yet i've got no longer observed any injury different than chop up ends which take place besides). low fee doesnt recommend that it is undesirable, even though it may no longer be set intense sufficient, or could basically no longer pass up that top. stable straighteners permit you to comprehend whilst temperature settings it has, no longer in basic terms a million, 2, 3 like a toaster. 4) once you're accomplished, spray it in the time of returned with hairspray; in all probability a mild carry one or it is going to likely be stiff--i admire mattress Head. something like defrizzer, smoother, and restyler; it's going to say that it is stable for a 2nd day with a coiffure, meaning it is much less companies to providing you with oily-looking hair. Then comb it in the time of astonishing and straight away. shop a comb with you to help in a protracted time. Your hair will % to spring decrease back into its organic shape, notably if it is humid, yet whilst it is humid it's going to additionally moisten up the hairspray and make it pliable returned. It sounds strange even though it works for me and my hair is like reminiscence twine!
