I find that a simple 2 1/2 tablespoons works best when I want 1/2 of 1/3 cup of anything.

The best way to be sure being different ingredients weight diffrent amounts when measuring volume ( 1/3 c of flour doesnt weigh the same as 1/3 c of liquid ) is to measure 1/3 cup of whatever ingredient your using and then weigh it. Then divide that in half. Although you would need a scale but you can get a decent cheap kitchen scale online for around $10.

I am sure that your problem is that the measuring cup is not marked in 1/6 cup increments. So you will have to measure between 0 and 1/3 of the cup and use your eye to estimate the half way point.

okay there are 16 tbls in 1 cup, so that mean that there are 5 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon in 1/3 of a cup. (There are 3 teaspoons per a tablespoon.) so that would mean you need half of (5*3)+1. That is 16 teaspoons so half would be 8 teaspoons which translate to 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons of flour.

The other way would be there are 16 tablespoons per a cup and 3 teaspoons per a tablespoon. 3 times 16 equals 48. 48/6= 8.

5 and 1/3 Tablespoons = 1/3 of a cup so that would mean

1/3 = 1 ÷ 3 = 0.333… which rounds to 0.33

5.033 / 2= just over 2.5 tablespoons that is 2 and 1/2

3 tablespoons
well 5 1/2 T = 1/3 cup
The front of your cookbook has a chart usually.
3t = 1T
So even more accurate would be 2 Table and 1 1/2 teaspoons

It is 1/6 cup or the 1/3 cup 1/2 full. Also, you could use 5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon.
