I wouldn't say so....but some tend to become addicting and make your lips more chapped than they were to begin with ---for example: Burts beeswax. It tingles and is fine at first but after using it for awhile, your lips are more dried out.

You heard wrong as far as I know. Chap stick is good for the lips. It moisturizes and keeps from cracking and getting chapped lips . The original Chap stick is still good and there are several others that are just as good and effective

ive noticed that if your lips get REALLY chapped like to the point they bleed, which mine do the chap stick does help but yes it does chap your lips but my chap stick that i use will releive my lips until it wears off and my friend has medicated chap stick that works wonders, personally i find the medicated blistex works the best, idk y other people make chap stick tho it really is a waste too.

Vaseline keeps your lips feeling good, lipsticks tend to dry them out, so I never wear the stuff, and I wear Victoria Secret's lipgloss, called beauty rush, in Mango Madness, and Sugar High

chapstick actually makes my lips chap, really! I prefer using vaseline, they also come in easy to carry tubes.

For me, Vaseline is VERY bad. It makes them smooth, and then makes the skin fall off. So I tend to use all natural chapsticks nowadays that you can buy from any small beauty natural shop! :D
