It's a paradox that's been around for years. You start with the idea that God is all powerful, so if you say "yes" that God is so powerful that he can make a rock he can't pick up, then He's really not all powerful. If you say "no" then God isn't powerful enough to make a rock that big.

Just be happy God doesn't squish you with a big rock for asking. :)

(And just so you know and people don't freak out on me, I'm
kidding about the God squishing you with a rock joke.)

Enjoy your non-rock filled day. :)

Can the Lord make something that is small but also very big. It is absurd to make these statements as it is all very relative. There are many things that the Lord Almighty can not or would not do. He can not throw you or me out of his kingdom as it extends over everything. He can however create a little room where he deliberately withdraws his power and allows us power (free will), but in the larger context, he is still in power.

The Lord can not do evil and injustice to any one. He can however allow Satan the freedom to do so for a limited period of time in limited space.

Other things the Lord can not do:

He can not make a tall short man. He can not make a smart but stupid animal. He can not make black that is also white at the same time for the same person etc. .. childish absurdities. HE Almighty defines what can and can not be done. He sticks by them.

The Lord Most High is in absolute control, but he defines the laws and does not contradict his own laws. I hope this makes sense to you.

If God can create the earth and create a way to keep it and all the other planets floating and rotating and in orbits around the sun. Nope - I really don't think there's any thing he can't do.
With God ALL things are possible!
If we are created in Gods image, why do we have arms and legs ect? Just a thought to previous answerer!

God does not have arms and this question has been posed so many times that it is getting ridiculous.
