Believing in Christ, will NOT get you in heaven.
You have to believe ON Christ.
Wait, you say..Isn't that the same thing? No. it isn't.
You can believe "in" a chair and never sit in it.
You have too believe "ON" that chair enough to sit in it, in faith, that it won't break or fold up.

Well, those who believe that Jesus was merely a teacher or a prophet, but deny His deity or his death as atonement for sins, and His resurrection, are actually denying His title "Christ." Which is from the Greek word, Christos, for Messiah or Savior. To say you are a Christian means that you are a follower of Jesus, the Christos or Savior of the world. Either you are or you aren't. You can't take the title without the belief.

Sadly, many, if not most "Christians" are not very "Christ-like" in words or actions. Gandhi said: "the whole world would be Christian if it weren't for Christians" Labels don't mean much in the judgment. A tree is known by the fruit that it bears.

Yes. If a group of people believe in Christ they are christians. I am mormon and I reagularly am told that I don't believe in Christ. I know my religion. I know I do. I am a christian and it is silly for others to worry about what my beliefs are when they know so little about there own.

I think the word Christian is becoming to watered down to encompass a broad spectrum of beliefs. And no not all religions should be considered Christian - because they aren't all Christ followers.

Well, if you do not believe in Christ- you can't be a Christian- I mean the word itself means- follower of Christ.
But there is so much more than being a follower- Judas, for a time was follower.-
Love is the real message that Jesus wanted and wants us to understand. Love for God- who is our Creator- love for others- we are all Children of God- and love for ourselves- so we can empathize with others.

the easiest way to explain this is to explain what the word christian means it means that you believe that Christ did exists. so even those of pagan faiths legally and morally can call themselves christian, because the do believe he existed. they do not believe him to be the son of god. so the answer to your question should be no , because just because you believe something existed does not make you a true christian or a follower of it.

If you don't accept Jesus as your savior, then you're not Christian. However, I accept Jesus as my savior and wished I could be labeled something else since most Christians act like they're better than everyone else and like they don't sin. I could be called a Jesusian. It would be a person who accepts Jesus as there savior but is loving and doesn't try to hide there sin, but use it to reach others. We wouldn't pass judgment on those who aren't saved or have a bad habit, or live differently etc... God bless!

No. Believing in (ie, that He existed) and following Him are 2 different things. The demons believe in Jesus, but that doesn't make them Christians.

I think the answer is no. A real Christian follows Jesus and His teachings as the Holy Bible relates them. Any other form of Christianity or if they preach another Jesus - then they are not real Christians and should not be labeled as such. Blessings.
