My puppy acts like she is gagging on something in her throat. She makes a very loud noise while doing it.

sometimes she might have eaten something that's hard to digest or it means your puppy will or wants to throw up. this happens to my dogs.

I would guess kennel cough...it's really contagious (but not usually serious). Our vet said we could even pass it from one household of dogs to another on our clothes and hands. It's kind of like when a person gets a cold, but they do need to be put on antibiotics to prevent further infection, such as pneumonia, because that actually is serious. My dogs both caught it after one finished a puppy class...she passed it to the other a week or two later.

Just FYI-Kennel cough sounds like "wretching"...they kind of gag and make an awful noise like they are trying to clear their throat or something...

It could be several things, allergies, not chewing food & etc. If it does not get better soon, take her to Vet, M
y husband shared some turkey with our small Lab after Thanksgiving dinner. He put it on styrofoam plate & thought I took plate out. I do not feed my dogs from table (after 33 yrs of marriage you would think he knew that) - my poor Logan ate the plate too. The Vet gave him something to get it out, but it was scary. No table foods for him again. It is funny now but scary then.

how often? My puppy is coughing and sneezing throughout the day, my vet says it was allergies. It sounds like the same thing my pup does, like he has a big ol hairball in there, trying to hack it up, but nothing every comes up.

That is a possibility, but there are others as well. If it continues, I would take her to the vet :)

Kennel Cough...my puppy had the same exact symptoms. They gave him some antibiotics and he has been fine.

Have you treated her for worms.I had a dashaund that was treated for worms and had all of her shots and before it was time for her to be treated again she started gagging. When I took her to the vet she had worms bad and I am sorry to say we lost her.So even if you have treated her for this you need to get her to the vet just to be safe.
