Make your skin lighter??? I've been a vegetarian for over 10 years, and my sister has been one for about 6, and we've never heard/experienced lighter skin (of course, we weren't looking to "lighten" our skin either. I did it mainly for health reasons). There are several types of vegetarians. Vegans eat no products that come from animals or were processed by harming animals (no meat, honey, yeast, dairy, anything farmed with chemicals, etc...). There are faux or pseudo-vegetarians that don't eat red meat, such as beef, but still eat poultry or fish. You should first figure out why you want your skin lighter. After you take a deep and honest look into that and still want to try being a vegetarian, you should decide what level best fits your health, style, budget and ethical reasoning. It also wouldn't hurt to talk with a nutritionist before starting a diet your body isn't used to.

Well buddy if that's your reason for doing it then I wouldnt. You can lighten your skin in other ways such as sunscreen and bleaching with lemons. Seriously dude....beomcing a vegetarian deprives your body of necessary viatmins and other things it needs. If your only reason for becoming veg is to lighten your skin, you might want to opt for another solution. And plus, I've NEVER heard that it lightens ur skin....and I'm friends with 2 vegans and live in a vegetarian home. Good luck

Cheese pizza is great. Vegetarian chili (sans meat) is great. Vegetarian lasagna is awesome. Mashed potatoes with vegetable gravy...Tacos! Nachos. Something I love is a meatball sub without the meatballs- just the marinara sauce, cheese, mayo and hot peppers. I'm not great with the nutrition side of being vegetarian, but I do know what tastes good. :)

What???????????? I've never heard that being a vegetarian will make your skin lighter. You can eat any product that is not meat or does not contain meat. You do however need to take in protein, I've heard that tofo is a good source. Good luck!

It will do nothing particularly interesting to your skin, and put you at some risk of deficiency diseases. Vegetable proteins are quite unbalanced as to their amino acid content, and if you do not eat the right foods you could miss one or more. Meats, on the other hand, have a fairly even distribution of amino acids, so if there is meat in your diet the likelihood of an amino acid deficiency is slight.
