Does anyone know if these languages are similar to learn? I know some Hebrew and a little Mandarin Chinese so I'm used to difficult languages. I guess I am hoping I have a bit of a head start as to the structure knowing some Hebrew already. I appreciate your insight.

I speak Arabic and a little Hebrew, Yes, in fact they both are smeitic languages and there is a similarity. Considerable number of words is similar. Grammer is sort of similar as well. Also both of the languages use short words rather than long words. I mean they dont have i,e,a,o, or u in every single word like the English language does. In fact, they use small sort of dots so u know how to pronounce the word. as you become advanced in the language, u dont need these dots.

Hebrew and Arabic are infact similar. Thus, knowing some Hewbrew will probably help you with learning some Arabic. That is, if you know the Hebrew well enough. If you don't then you might mix up the two :( haha. o well, good luck!

Yes, they are, to an extent. You will have a bit of a head start.
I mostly agree with what Moh'd said.
