i work as a graduate assistant in one of the dept in school .. and there is this secretary who works in same dept. recentlly she started showing interest in me.. i too like her .. i know that she has two daughters.,I am aftraid to ask her out since i donnt know if she is divorced or not.
is there is anyway i can find that out ? if she is,how should i approach her?
i cant ask or discuss this with anybody in the department ...

just work it into a conversation - I take it you talk to her.... since she's showing interest... ask her for a cup of coffee and go from there - it's amazing how outside the work environment people open up... She may be trying to get you to ask her out but doesn't want to seem pushy... worst that can happen is she'll say my husband would object... good luck!

The only sure way to know is to check your cities court records. Sometimes they are available online. Of course, the best way is to ask her yourself! It is never easy to start a conversation but it is always worth it even if it turns out she is married and you end up being just friends. The best of relationships are built on the foundation of trust.

be safe and ask her what she does on her free time? She may say clean the house, go to the movies, go to parties, whatever. But then ask who she goes with? 'My friends.' Then ask if she ever has another guy that accompanies her, wink. Trust me this works. Besides, you're gonna have to ask sooner or later...maybe its best to get it out in the open now. If not, then this is sure to work.

if she has shown an interest in you, ASK HER, but do it in private, away from the "school environment", so you can both be relaxed & open with each other. BTW, workplace romances rarely work, 'cause someone ALWAYS has to run their mouth about what they think they might know.

Be open and honest,ask her outright.If the interest is the same,i don't think there'll be a problem.
But if you try sneaking around,it could backfire and you lose out completely.

Just ask her if she's married, divorced, single or widowed. Just food for thought... she didn't have to be married to get her 2 daughters.
