Psalms 37 3-6 3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
When we delight in the Lord, He gives us the desires of our heart...He placed those desires within us...and so sometimes those things start toward us without prayer being an activating factor! We serve an Awesome God!

You have a 20 year old girl who wants to stay at your home as a foster kid? Are you sure you got the right interpretation when she asked to stay for the weekend?
And perhaps the rap group came about because you joined or formed a rap group...
Re: additional details
Stuart Sutcliffe didn't go about trying to be a bassist, but as a friend of John Lennon's, he was recruited to buy a bass and learn how to play in the earliest days of the Beatles...
And again: she's 20. At 20, one is not a foster kid looking for a home: at 20, one is a young adult looking for a home or a place to crash. She may have been a foster kid earlier, but now she is 20. There really is a big difference.

Heehee! I read some of the smart-*ss answers.
I'm going to assume you liked the rap thing so much you actually practiced and joined a group-that sounds more like something YOU did-not intuition; the foster parent/20 yr old girl thing-a 20 year old decides now that she wants a parent? That's just weird.
Now, here's something scary. I had a dream that I was in a car accident and not only died but 'knew' my body was being torn apart from the impact. Fortunately (for my sanity) I had read/heard somewhere already that if you die in your dreams, it means something life changing is going to happen. A few years later, I had surgery (which, I was told, went well but while I was in the ICU dept., there was a medication thing and I ended up temporarily disabled. I totally changed my diet and started exercising and I slowly started to recover-all w/o 'praying'. I also started reading a lot about religion (mostly) and it definitely has made me 'see the light'. BTW, I am most definitely NOT CHRISTIAN. So, the whole thing was definitely life-changing.
But, as far as intuition goes, b/c there were a few years between the dream and the surgery/disability, I never will be certain if the dream was intuition or I'm just digging into my past for clues...

Often. Intuition is a function of the human soul and taps into mental positions being worked out in our "semi-awareness" and even deeper. Intuition also can pick up on the collective body of human thought. Since God works in our mind and heart in terms of hope what you are saying makes perfect sense.
I would like to point out that what is operating here may or may not be faith and could be soul power. Check your results at all times with prayer and praise. Always wait upon the Lord; and know that you can get into some heavy stuff really quick when you use your soul power.
One of the most important lessons we can learn is how intuition mirrors the gift of faith from God. Faith operates for us much like intitution but on different principals and outside the mind. If intuition brings things to pass; how much more if we have God's faith and the mind of Jesus Christ?
All this is in the Scripture, but I have avoided those words for a reason. If you ever get a chance read a little book by Watchman Nee called "The Latent Power of the Human Soul." Another of his is "The Normal Christian Life." Check out the chapters on soul life and walking in the spirit.
What we are looking for in the spirit is more of Jesus Christ. I think what is going on with you is great. But, if you have a thought about being a foster parent how long does it take to say --"Lord if this is your will bring it about." This way you put the thought subject to Him - no matter how good it may seem.
The Scripture is -- "Not my will, but thine be done."
God's dealing with you is more important then the circumstance being delt. What is in the spiritual is more important than what is in the physical. All this is going to pass away. Nevertheless I believe you have a door of revelation open to you. There seems to be less and less faith in the world every day; and we know that without faith it is impossible to please God. Keep after it.

Yes. Intuition is one of the most powerful senses we have that we use the least! It can saves live change live and give you insight to important situations.I have seen things myself
FOR EXAMPLE
when I was about 5 or six me and my dad went to the corner store by our house back then arcades games were really popular and there we several lined up by the window so I walked over there while my father was engaging in small talk
while I was messing around with one of the games I have a sudden feeling of panic rush over me and something told me to walk away from the game and go over to my dad..as soon as I was by his side a car came crashing into the window where all the games were
TRUE STORY
I recently have had incidents where I will dream or think about something and something related to it will happen
I dreamed about a tire spinning and was wore out that week I had two flat tires
One week I kept thinking about my cell phone and how I shouldn't hold it for granted
It was stolen that wee
WE ALL HAVE THIS AMAZING GIFT THE MORE WE LISTEN TO IT THE STRONGER IT WILL BE
HOPE THIS HELPS

Praying is an odd thing, mostly because there is no right or wrong way to pray. God still knows what you want - He's there whether or not you call out to him. You may not have blatenly said "hey God, I want to be a rapper", but you thought about it and it's something you wanted.
Not everyone believes in signs, but I believe they are there in one form or another. Perhaps meeting the exFoster kid (at 20, you aren't a kid anymore...) was God's way of introducing you to the world of Foster Care.

That seems like proof that you do NOT need to pray to some invisible man. And a 20 yr old really ought to just get a job and make their own way. That's too old to be a foster child. Course maybe she just saw someone she could sucker....

What you are really referring to is things and situations and people that God puts in our paths.
It is something we feel led toward, but do not really follow through on, so God puts opportunities and people in our paths to remind us of our calling. Just a little warning, even when these things are put in our path, check in with God in prayer, even after the fact to make sure it is from him and not from the deceiver. A twenty year old former foster kid was kicked out for a reason.
Been there , done that, even adopted her, but she did go back to her worldly ways and continues on that path at least for the time being. While we lost worldly possessions during her time with us, we were allowed to instill our biblical values, and that was worth more than the material items that she took.

It happens to me all the time, I doubt (&fear) people would believe me. But that's ok, cause this way it's between God & I. He's knows how funny life is~ imagine watching all this DRAMA & COMEDY from heaven. Life is so funny sometimes, I LOL look up to the skies & we have our private laugh. For instance ~ just 10 mins ago I made myself a strawberry margarita, & even tho it was a BRAND new container of them, I thought " Oh I think I'm gonna need more!" UMmm yeah I spilled more than half of my fresh strawberries down the drain ( swear it -as God is my funny witness ), I had to clean it up thinkin' "Yep, I should of just been happy with what I had, you're right." He gives us all sorts of "hints" but hey, how can we see them if there's doubt in our hearts? Trust Him with all your heart, & we'll be home soon.

It usually happens with books for me. I'll be thinking "Oh man, I really wish I could find a good book on such and such a subject, they're hard to find and I don't even know where to look" and bam, next time I go to the bookstore, I stumble across exactly what I need--even if it wasn't in there the week before.

It is true that when you think about something, and desire something, you are more likely to notice it. Basically what you are doing when you think, "I would love to do this or that," is opening up the door for opportunity. When something comes along, you jump on it, because, well, you were already thinking about it. You're more likely to be interested in these things and receptive to the coincidences if you have already thought about them. Praying is something meant to comfort you, not make wishes come true. YOU are the one in charge of making things come true in your life, and it looks like your good at it.
