I can't give an answer based on statistic's, but I can tell you that I use cookbooks, my mom uses cookbooks and my grandma, god bless her soul, used cookbooks. I have some of theirs and I have my first cookbook ever - Betty Crocker's Cookbook. It's great for beginners, but I love to season my food well and make authentic recipes from around the world, so I enjoy cookbooks of all kinds and have 2 online recipe collections that I update weekly lol. Anyone want to trade recipes? I just made my own version of Black Forest Cake - beats all the others I have tried!

I use them constantly! And I have quite the collection, ranging from the 1920's to the present. I'm always looking for new ideas. I could spend an entire day off reading through one. I do use the internet, and I'll print them out and put them in my own binder, which I guess in essence is another cookbook!
I wish I had more shelf space! I can't turn down a cookbook!

I love cookbooks, but don't use them as much as I'd like. My favorites are actually the "church" or community cookbooks, where members of a congregation or group will submit their favorite recipes and sell as a fundraiser. You get some really great family recipes that way, but usually they are quite feasible for the average to advanced cook... not like some cookbooks that really do get too advanced...

I love to cook, but I don't use any printed cookbooks, I primarily use recipes found on the internet. Although I sometimes glance over cookbooks when I go to the bookstore.

Not many, but I know Nigerians do. My parents came to America with a $20 bill and now live in a 600,000 dollar house. In the cahnge of cultures, they used many cookbooks and learned many meals, adding their own twists and eventually froming their own creations. I have taken their footsteps. Its pretty fun. But most typical Americans go to a fastfood restaurant at least 3 tiems a week, sadly enough. For me, and some others, its closer to 1 time a month. The fact for typical Americans contribute to the growing obesity roblem we have.
Its sad, America is having an obesity epidemic while hundreds of other countries are starving to death.

I use them all the time. Actual Cookbooks, cooking magazines (everyday food is one of my favorites), others like Good Housekeeping or Ladies Home Journal. Lately I've gotten on the internet bandwagon and started looking for recipes online, too.
I love trying new recipes!!

I do! I collect cookbooks and recipes. I do like to do things on my own as well...I'm not a strict follow the recipe type person. Cooking should be about fun and love.
