1) What is the purpose of wiping out all living things except what was on the ark, what did the other animals do that was so bad that they did not get a chance to live?

2) If then we are offsprings of Noah's family, shouldn't we all be good since we come from the choosen ones. Who and where did all these evil people today came from?

3) What is the purpose of these ' God Disasters' to rid the world of evil, when clearly evil always rear it ugly head again and again?

Can somebody please make some sense of all this for me? Thanks.

The bible gives me a headache. Too many things to question....just a few are:

1. How did 1 man build an ark...which by the way would have been the size of an aircraft carrier.
2. What did the carnivore's eat on the ark?

3. And if we all are decendants of Noah's family....wouldn't that mean we are a product of inbreeding?? And isn't that against the bible??

>2) If then we are offsprings of Noah's family, shouldn't we all be good since we come from the choosen ones. Who and where did all these evil people today came from?

Well, we SHOULD be, even being part of the EXTENDED family ... but just look at a small family ... parents & children. Can't you often see good parents who have a child that turns out "bad" or even, sometimes, "bad" parents who have a child or children who turn out "good". So, it it all that surprising if it happened in all the generations since Noah?

>3) What is the purpose of these 'God Disasters' to rid the world of evil, when clearly evil always rear it ugly head again and again?

Just ONE "God disaster" of that extent. But God also uses it as an illustration, a warning ... that He destroyed the unrepentant one time with Water; and will, again, with Fire.

Some say, why drown all the people; were they all rebellious?
Well, God through Noah invited all of the peopleinto the Ark, for in the Ark they would be safe. But most of them preferred to try it "their own way". Likewise now, God's representatives invite people into Christ for safety. Many reject, saying they's rather "do it their own way".

Your grandfather's a pastor why don't you ask him for the details? - SICK. Seriously my personal opinion is that there are parts missing from the Bible after Cain and Abel, because it immediately goes on to say that Cain took a wife (not his mother Eve). So there were must have been people alive in those days that the Bible doesn't talk about. As for Noah's ark, Noah's family and extended family were the only ones on board the Ark. Noah's sons already had wives, so there was no incest.

1)There was only enough room on the ark for 2 of every animal. The others just didn't show up at the right place at the right time. Don't worry though, they went to heaven.
2)We are all offspring of Noah, but some people choose to be evil, or bad. I wasn't always saved, and at one time I chose to be evil and do evil things. Then one day I just sort of woke up and repented and accepted Jesus as my savior and started living right again. Everyone has the opportunity to change and be better.
3)The flood was the only disaster of it's kind, God sent the rainbow as a promise that another mass disaster of it's kind would never happen again. He did it because fallen angels had raped women and created a half and half species that were really evil. When he sent the flood, these species were destroyed and the fallen angel were chained forever away from humanity.
-If you want some answers, read your bible. Sometimes we don't always understand the bible, and you can ask questions about what you don't understand, but pray and God will lay on your heart what is true and what things mean. God Bless you!

First off, there is no such thing as evil, in a material sense. Evil is merely the exclusion of good. Goodness, or exclusion of goodness is not a genetic factor, but a learned behavior. Imperfect humans, lacking the full use of their mental capabilities, will often follow a path, not quite in keeping with their parents. That will change, once humans has been returned to perfection, after Armageddon.

As for all the other animals, how many do you think there was on the Earth? Has science ever found evidence that there was a significant amount of animals, over the breath of the Earth, just 5000 years ago? The device they use for dating fossils only works for ones over 1 million years old, if it is actually taking an accurate reading.

If all the animals were in or near Eden, than there really weren't that many to die at the time of the great flood.

As for current disasters, where in the Bible does it say that he is causing them? It merely predicts that they will happen. He may have merely been predicting what will happen because of the poor human treatment of the Earth. How are we causing major earth quakes? We've been sucking a lot of oil out of the ground. Perhaps the oil reserves are those locations where the earth absorbs stresses from shifting land masses. A kind of shock absorber.

The difference with when Armageddon takes place, is there will be those who live through it who have made a choice to serve God and Christ, as a whole. They don't follow the mandates or habits of the world, at large. When they return to being perfect, with the full use of their mental capabilities, and Satan and his followers are chained up, they will no longer have the desire to doing anything by good. After 1000 years, Satan will be released for one final challenge, before being destroyed, forever.

It is simple to follow the teachings of God and Christ, you just have to eliminate all the distortions that have crept into Christian teachings, in the last 2000 years. For that, look to the Apostle Paul, who noted in his time that Christians were already going back their their old habits.

1: Sin always cost more then we can afford and it always cost others then the one doing it. The Flood shows this very much. Before sin entered the world, man and animals all lived peacefully together.

2: Noah warned people for 120 years that a flood was coming but the people ridiculed him much as many do to the Christians here now. It is hard for me to imagine that this kept going on as people saw all sorts of animals going onto the ark with no one leading them. They had a choice. They were invited onto the Ark but all but eight people rejected the offer. Then GOD shut the door thus Noah did not have the responsibility of dooming all these people.

Where did the evil come from after Noah? People still have a choice. They still have free will. Throughout time, there have been different forms of government or economies. Adam and Eve were in the age of innocence. We also had the Law, and now we have the age of Grace. Soon we will have 1,000 years in which Jesus will reign in person and satan will be chained for all that time..yet people will still sin.

Why these different forms of governments? It will take away every excuse we could have for sin...even the devil made me do it will not stand for the last 1,000 years.

The only solution...Jesus Christ. After this 1,000 years there will be on final battle in which satan is cast into the lake of fire and then...then forever more there will be no more sin!

1) Animals die all the time. Why should this time bother you more?

2) Noah's family was pretty dysfunctional, and they were the best around. If you like meat, you should thank Noah. men were herbivores before the flood, according to scripture.

3) Disasters also always happen. Though it's rarely the wrath of God. And evil will always rear it's head as long as man chooses to do evil.

After the Flood, God promised he'd never again flood the earth to wipe out evil men. "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil... and never again will I destroy all living creatures..."

That should make you feel better.

After the Flood destroying evil was left up to us apparently. Haven't done a very good job, have we.

"whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man." Gen9:6

them are good questions and I'll try to help the best as I can, someone else may have some better answers though.

1)As far as the animals go, I don't know I just know that GOD wanted all of His creations to survive and go on multiplying. Don't think to much on the animal thing. If you read you will notice that there were more than 2 of each kind on the ark, read carefully, it wasn't due to the other animals getting lost and not arriving at the right place at the right time. It's what GOD commanded Noah to bring on the ark.

2) We are all from Noah and in essence related. We should all be good, it is what GOD wants. I know some are tired of hearing it but Sin has its way in the world right now and wrecks a mans soul.

3) The bible says GOD is slow to anger but He does get angry. Look at the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, and Nineveh. In the case of the flood, mankind didn't repent so GOD destroyed them, Sodom and Gomorrah didn't repent so GOD destroyed them, Nineveh DID repent and GOD spared them. GOD does get mad.

Notice all those stories are in the OT? The New Testament doesn't have stories of GOD wiping out bunches of people. Jesus made the way to repentence that we shouldnt' get destroyed. What ever you have to do, make your heart right with GOD.

God decided that the world needed cleansing, and he found the Noah to be a man after His own heart. He looked at the house of Noah and decided he would be the one to be able to trust God and His word and obey God when instructed to build this giant ship, amidst laughter and ridicule God knew that Noah was strong in his faith toward Him and would not concede to man's ridicule of Him.

As for the animals Noah also followed God's instructions in collecting them, to be placed inside the ark for safeties sake.

Your second question reguarding the offspring of Noah, do you think that a mother raises her child to become a robber or a serial killer or a terrorist, people once grown have a choice to be good or bad, this has not changed just because Noah built the ark.

Evil is what man do, it is a choice to do evil or good in the world, most often one can convince oneself and justify their bloody deeds but there is only one who truly knows the hearts of men. Instead of questioning why God preserved the earth for us why don't you question why men have to act with such evil intent toward one another.

Also you are bound to hear only the evil that men do, how often do you hear heart warming stories on the news, about a samaritan giving ten dollars to a peddler. the shame of this world is that we would rather hear the about the evil that men do than the good. This is why evil begets more evil as it is in the news all the time.

The reason for the flood was because of Genesis 6:5 "The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time".

Because of original sin no one is good. Even Noah wasn't perfect. The "evil people" (which is everyone) are born that way because of sin.

(Chippy108: God did NOT create evil. He allows it but He did not create it. God has nothing to do with evil. Show me the verse if you think so.)
