when he comes over to my house and i want to talk to him i ask him what he wants to talk about and then he just starts up about this pokemon show and i ask if we can talk about something else becuase i don't know what he's talking about and he just keeps on talking about pokemon like he never heard me
the same thing happens when he calls me late at night

Maybe your honestly just not compatible enough to be dating. If this is what he likes sooo much that he never shuts up about it, and you find it a total drag, that is a problem. Try talking about other things to him, and if he starts talking about pokemon just tell him, that if he can't talk about other things, that you can't be with him, becasue your not compatible enough. If that doesn't shut him up, I don't know what will. Of course there's always the possibility that he will agree with you when you say it and you'll end up without him. But if he wants to choose talking about pokemon over you, then why would you want him anyway?

You know what the best part about this is? When he's 30 he'll look back on this and kick himself for even admitting he was infatuated with "Pokemon". Or I hope so at least.
I'd love to offer you some suggestions young lady however I suspect that you're a juvenile and adult related themes (and I DO NOT mean pornographic or obscene) are something you're not quite ready for at this juncture in your life. Believe me. As you get older and the age of the males that begin to flock around you grows you're going to wish at times that "Pokemon Boy" was still around when you see what's coming down the pike.

Wow a 16 yr old who's addicted to Pokemon..are you sure he's not 10?
Just be honest and tell him you dont care and that honestly it creeps you out that a 16 yr old guy is obsessed with Pokemon, and if he still doesn't stop.. Dump him for someone a little more mature..

Nothing that a good dose of CRAZY GLUE AND DUCT TAPE applied LIBERALLY to his MOUTH area won't solve! That, and make up one of those signs like they do for the Olympics when they show scores for performances; only YOURS would say in big, bold letters (quoting Shrek), "Two words Donkey: SHUT UP!!!" Every time he's over and starts in on his SCHPEAL, just hold that up RIGHT IN HIS FACE! And if you're on the phone, just make a bunch of noises that sounds like "staticky interference" and say, "Oops! Gotta go! I'm gettin' a BAD signal!" Hopefully he'll GET THE HINT! Of course, ANYONE who's DUMB enough to be into "Pokemon", it's questionable whether he will!

gal if its worth it keep him. otherwise tell him you dont really care for his pokemon or if he starts to talk about it grab him and kiss him. That will get his attention then tell him u dont want to hear about his pokemon.
If u cant do the above, dont throw a tuntrum about it coz its almost like trying to make sense with a guy while his watching sports it will not work.
Tell him over and over again smthing like this
Him: pokemon bla bla bla (disrupt him mid sentence and explain why politely.)
You: I dont wanna here it ( and do not raise your voice just repeat this till he shuts up looks at you and gets it)
if he dosent get it good luck or good riddance.

Thats easy, just tell him your sick of hearing about pokemon. Tell him that it's nothing personal, but you could be talking about more important things than an cartoon. Maybe you should initiate the convo and not let him start up on his pokemon speaches.

Tell him his pokemon will never evolve if he keeps talking about it. Lol how old is your bf anyway?
i used to watch pokemon when i babysit my 3 little cousins, the show is about love and being there for each other. Anyway.. that's for kids. You can either join him or stop him from talking about it. Tell him he can only have one, choose either you or pokemon.

wow...my little brother watches that show but he's 6.Seems like his inner child hasnt left.Tell him to stop acting so childish and that u wanna talk about something else or just change the subject cuz personaly i dont see the point of him going out with u if all he thinks about is pokemon this,that.Girl tell him how u feel about his little pokemon addiction.

Buy a cheap pokemon plush toy, take it to your backyard, and burn it in front of him. This should give him a good idea of the fact that you don't like pokemon. Say that if he can't find anything else to talk about then it's over.

I hope he other redeeming qualities, cuz you sound like you hooked up with a geek.
One of two things you can do:
1. Watch the show with him and his 8 yr old kid buddies.
2. Tell him when before he opens his mouth that you don't want to talk about the show... ever. You want to talk about you and him or somethig and see if he'll wake up.
If not, find yourself a guy who isn't a geek.
