Fioricet and Esgic are brand name drugs made from a combination of acetaminophen (325 mg), butalbital (a barbiturate, 50 mg), and caffeine (40 mg). They are usually used to treat tension headaches and migraine headaches, but are also indicated for other types of pain, such as shoulder and upper back pain.
Fioricet is usually prescribed for difficult to treat tension headaches as well as migraine. The common dosing schedule is to take 1 - 2 tablets every 4 hours as needed, being careful not to exceed 12 tablets in 24 hours, both to avoid an overdose on the Butalbital and Caffeine, but also because an exceess of 4 grams of Acetaminophen per day causes a serious risk of liver damage.
Side effects for any drug are difficult to predict, but commonly reported side effects for Fioricet include:
Abdominal pain
Dizziness
Drowsiness
Intoxicated feeling
Light-headedness
Nausea
Sedation
Addiction
Fioricet contains acetaminophen, which has been shown to cause liver damage at higher dosages. Care should be excercised when using Fioricet to prevent possible liver damage. Fioricet also contains butalbital, which is an addictive, mind (and behavior) altering barbituate. Fioricet can be habit forming. Fioricet should not be mixed with alcohol, both due to the possibility of exacerbating liver damage in combination with the APAP, and due to increased risk of intoxication, respritory depression, and general sedation in combination with the butalbital.Be careful when taking fioricet, as you can unknowingly start slurring your speech. Use the lowest effective dose only.Contains caffeine, caffeine helps increase the effects of acetaminophen. Unlike other class III drugs, butalbital is not as habit forming.

Dog aggression is part of the breed. Dog aggression is in many breeds. A dog does not have to be taught to fight to not like another dog. It's called genetics. Just because the dog hurt another dog it does not mean it will go after a child. Dogs know the difference. Dog aggression and human aggression are two different things. Encourging the dog to be a protector would be teaching human aggression. This young Pit Bull could very well be developing dog aggression at a young age. But this is a large dog playing with a very small, fragile dog and it very well could have been an accident. Play getting to rough. Supervision should have been better IMO. A Yorkie is a small dog and it is not gonna take much for any breed of dog to seriously injure a Yorkie. I own 4 Pit Bulls, A Golden, a Dachchund, I have 3 children, I have a cat. There must be very close supervision with the dogs and cat. The cat plays with the dogs but sometimes they can forget and think he is a toy. Nothing serious has happened cause we have stopped it before hand. And monitor the play. Sorry it's not the dogs fault regardless of breed. The fault is with the owner. ADD: The Yorkie is 14 yrs old it is gonna have a hard time healing after such a thing. How many stiches do you expect a small dog to need that got injured by a LARGE dog. The Yorkie can probably fit in the pups mouth already. This was owner error. The Pit Bull is just that a puppy and is still learning. It was an accient. Does not sound like dog aggression. An owner that leaves a dog unattended with a child is an idiot and should not have dogs let alone a child. That is just plain irresponsibilty. No responsible owner is gonna leave their baby on the floor with a dog without watching them. Dogs do not think like humans. Children have been injured because the parents left them unsupervised child starts crying and go trys to help the child. Not the dogs fault, it's the owners. As for the unneutered male. He was most likely the Alpha and he gets to eat first. She gets to eat last. It could also be resource guarding. You have nothing to fear with the breed as whole. What you need to fear is the person on the other end of the leash. That is where the problem starts. As I said earlier, I have 4 Pit Bulls one of which is my Service Dog.

Fioricet comes in two forms, one with Codeine and one without. It is a pharmaceutical drug for controlling headaches, migraines etc. being a nursing student, you should know that the most obvious sign will be acute drowsiness or a comatose state of behavior. Being your little friend is so small, it could go into coma or worse, depending on the dosage. I'm not a doctor, nurse or vet however, I was a registered paramedic and a Lt. firefighter for 9 years which still doesn't make me an authority but it does make me nervous enough to want you to see a vet ASAP. Maybe a call about administering some Ipecac or something to INDUCE VOMIT TING would be my advise and that is all I'm trying to do, is help you may be come up with some ideas. Good luck to you. :)

I got my dog to throw up once by getting him to ingest some baking soda but it also gave him diarrhea for awhile. Its worth a shot. If he is acting normally after this long he is probably ok and didn't actually get one down. Good Luck and I hope he is ok.

Chihuahua probably about 2-4 pounds, give him 4 teaspoons of peroxide, have him run around a little wait for him to vomit. If no results, you have got to get him to the vet anyway. I am certain his metobolic system cannot handle the drug. He will need to be given activated charcoal by the vet to suck up any toxins and maybe even LRS. Please call a cab, a friend or something get your dog to the vet.
BTW, symptoms may not show until it is too late.

Sorry, but he needs to go to the vet. Some vet's offices have ambulance-type services. You might call them and find out. I'm sure they'll have some suggestions and will want to see him.

Try to get your pup to drink plenty of water. it being a pain killer, it may not be TOO harmful. keep an eye on him though. it may get worse. it is possible it may not harm him at all. just try to make sure he drinks plenty, and can't find anymore. if he is ok in the next 24 hrs, he should be fine.

If you don't have activated charcoal, I would give him a LOT of something he likes...such as chicken meat, blendered first, or yogurt..You can bring milk to a barely boil, skim off the top film (discard, as that is the lactose) and give the milk to him warm, all that he will drink..
Hydrogen peroxide could be too stressful for a Chihuahua..I used to raise them..
