If by free will you mean we have the capability to choose God, you're absolutely right. It is not consistent with the predestination also mentioned, and can only be interpreted in the light of predestination. We do not have free will.

I really hate the term Free Will. It implies that I have the choice and no matter what as long as I choose it is right. That is not the case. I prefer to use the term Agency. I have th right to choose but no matter what I choose I must except the consequences of that choice. As far as scriptural references.
Deut. 30:19
Josh. 24:15
2 Sam 24:10-15
Proverbs 1:24-33
Philippians 1:21-24
Hebrews11:24-26
I would like to also add a favorite from the Book of Mormon which is not the bible but which my religion believes is also the word of God.

I hope this helps.

In the Garden of Eden in Genesis, even before the "Fall of Man," God placed a tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If there had been NO tree from which Adam and Eve were given the option of eating (thereby disobeying God), could one really have said that Adam and Eve were given free will? After all, when one CANNOT choose to disobey, is that really even obedience?
I'm sure there are several examples throughout the Bible that demonstrates Free Will, but I do think this one is the first--and as such, lays the groundwork in that way:)
Thanks for reading and God Bless!

De 3:19+ I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou may love the Lord thy God & obey His voice...
Isa 66:3+ He that kills an ox is compared to killing a man; he that sacrifices a lamb is compared to cutting a dog's neck; he that offers an oblation, as if offering swine's blood; he that burns incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations. I will also choose their delusions...
In Rev. people choose to bow to the beast & take its mark or choose not to.
God does a lot of the choosing through out the bible. People end up believing & confessing Jesus Christ Lord.

Well there are plenty of references that talk about us choosing, but personally I believe that God is in control of everything, including our salvation. Read Ephesians 1 and Romans 9 and that will answer your questions. Also, see the second question at the link below. It is a VERY in-depth discussion and I would be happy to describe it more if you let me know.

Johnwayne 3:16 You can lead a nag to water but ya can't make'm drink, partnah!
Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live! Choose to love the LORD your God and to obey him and commit yourself to him, for he is your life. Then you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
